Veterans are ideal candidates to help Expert-Exchange grow and successfully accomplish its goals. Veterans have the unique ability to bring order to chaos and are well suited to assist in post-war countries with development and more austere regions with aid and mentorship. We believe to stop future conflicts that we need to eradicate poverty and provide proper education to people in need. This in return empowers the country and further harnesses positive bonds, not only at the grass roots level, but economically with the United States.
Expert-Exchange focuses on Veterans and experts uniting for post-conflict development. We use Veterans' skill sets alongside experts for long-term international development projects. We focus on post-war regions and support these areas with their development and growth of their infrastructure by conducting community outreach and assessments. We seek to help with basic human needs; education; medical, safe water access with the building of wells; and, we create sustainable projects using the knowledge from experts in that field of research and/or qualified volunteers. We always conduct a basic assessment before undertaking a specific project and plan for daily operations to be shifted to the community efficiently and effectively. We strive for transparency, along with sharing our successes and learning lessons in our blogs. Have questions, reach out to us!
We are looking for highly motivated Veterans, and civilian experts in their field, who have a humanitarian disposition, know exactly what skills they can offer and a notion of how they'd like to participate. We are not an organization that offers basic volunteer work for funseekers or someone just looking to kill time overseas, rather we would refer those volunteers to another organization. We are seeking motivated individuals with a specific plan and the requisite skills to solve a basic human-needs problem in a region of the world still suffering abject poverty and the aftermath of war. We have a blog we recently wrote addressing the question who we are looking for to join us. Please check out the link and contact us if you believe you fit what we are looking for and would like to be a part of our growing organization and network: Who We Want to Join Us!
OUR IMPACT
Check out our PROJECTS page for more detailed information. Over the last couple of years we have conducted several joint medical clinics with the local government, medical assessments of communities, and medical outreach clinics to multiple locations in Cambodia. We have helped sponsor multiple kids for full-time school who previously would not have the opportunity to attend. We have also supplied multiple different schools helping over a thousand children with school supplies, from backpacks to books, pens, pencils, and uniforms. We have taught basic first aid classes to locals and initiated deworming programs in two provinces in Cambodia. We have helped facilitate a doctor and university to create better standards for the medical curriculum in Cambodia universities. We also put in 4 wells to give communities safe access to drinking water. We provided children with basic hygiene supplies and taught them how to use them properly along with providing some families in rural Cambodia with bicycles for transportation. For a more up to date and detailed list, please review our BLOG and PROJECT page. Thank you!
