Expert-Exchange has had a very successful week.  We were able to put 2 more children (Sokia and Nika) into school today.  When we were at the school we saw the 3 children we put into school a few weeks ago.  Along with that we have conducted our monthly check up on the other students and found attendance to be close to 100%.  One child had a toothache and missed a day, but besides that the children are going to school via Expert-Exchange and staying in school!  This is all been possible because of your generous support and donations.  We try and share the moments thru pictures and videos to show the happiness and joy that is brought by your support.  Thank you and next week we will be surpassing double digits in children that we have put into school!  Video to come soon of project.

In recognition of International Women’s Day earlier this week, Doll Me Up by BKS wished to empower woman via Expert-Exchange. We followed through and identified three young females from disadvantaged homes in rural Cambodia who would benefit from the opportunity of an education. This project was generously sponsored by a donation from "Doll Me Up by BKS" in Norwich, CT.  With their support, Expert-Exchange was able to enroll the girls in school, provide them with two sets of uniforms each plus supplies for school and our EXPERT-EXCHANGE backpacks.

Recon: Getting kids to school from a new village

This week we explored a new village on the outskirts of Siem Reap called Pakan. We want to start developing small programs there and harness trust within that community. We gave gifts to the children and talked to the parents and listened to their concerns. This village impressed us because the majority of the adults had jobs and were actively trying to improve their children’s future. However, we did identify a number of children whose parents are financially unable to provide them with a proper education, so next week - with the help of a new donor - we will endeavor to enroll three kids in school.
